Queen Ann Home Restoration

We did a complete restoration of this late 1800's Queen Ann style home. The house was fairly weathered and had most spindle and rail work was rotted beyond repair. The roof was structurally sound but needed to have the shingles replaced. Poor guttering caused major dry rot on one side of the house which had to be reworked and a larger guttering system installed.

We stripped the paint down to raw wood Cyprus siding, replacing damaged siding as needed. We copied spindles and trim work from originals to replace the damaged or missing pieces. We installed a new roof, guttering, and did a very detailed 3 color paint job. Hand carved newel posts were copied and replaced in a couple areas. The house now looks as good as it did when it was originally built, if not better.

The restoration was featured in CIRCA magazine.
